“Did they actually pay?” used to be a question every chat-based seller had to answer manually, every single time. Lameda answers it automatically.
The old problem
Selling through DMs without a proper checkout meant trusting a screenshot. A customer sends proof of transfer, you check your bank app, and either it matches or it does not. On top of that, sometimes it takes minutes to show up, sometimes the screenshot is doctored, and sometimes the transfer simply reverses after you have already released the goods. None of that is a small problem when it happens to your business regularly.
How Lameda solves it
Customers pay directly in-chat, and the payment is verified automatically through Paystack before an order is marked paid. There is no screenshot to inspect and no bank app to check: by the time an order shows as verified in your Orders queue, the money has actually been confirmed. You get notified in real time the moment this happens.
- No manual checking of bank alerts or screenshots.
- No releasing goods against a payment that has not actually cleared.
- No delay between a customer paying and you knowing about it.
What still needs your judgment
Verification confirms the payment moved. It does not decide business questions like whether to honour a late cancellation or refund a customer. Those remain yours to handle, and your assistant will route anything like that to you through a Handoff rather than deciding on its own.
The result is a much simpler mental model: an order that has not verified is not real yet, and an order that has verified is safe to act on immediately.
